Sarah Medford is a writer and consultant specializing in visual culture. Through her journalism and brand work, she explores the people and ideas shaping the world we see, from a forgotten architect re-crafting the contemporary design market to an iconoclastic art dealer to a pair of radical, socially-minded chefs. In addition to serving as a contributing editor at WSJ. Magazine, she writes for a wide range of publications and has held staff positions at Art in America, Self, Town & Country, and most recently Architectural Digest, where she served as executive editor. She has authored or contributed to several books. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Medford holds undergraduate honors degrees from Brown University and a graduate certificate in Interior Design from The Parsons School of Design. She lives in New York City and on Shelter Island NY.
